LOCATION: Munnar, located about 5200 ft. above sea level, is originally a comfort station among the hills built by the British planters. Munnar is only a three hour journey from the most happening city of Kerala, Kochi.It is located in the Western Ghats in the eastern part of central Kerala and an adjoining part of Tamilnadu.
ACCOMODATION: Rose gardens is almost a century old building erected with fine stones, tiled roof and wooden ceiling.The twin Ensuite rooms capable of accommodating two families, are clean and comfortable, with verandahs built in the traditional style and overlooking the lush native forest.
TREKKING: Munnar is a hill town of undulating mountains and tea gardens. Due to its mountainous terrain, it has been highly regarded as a trekking destination for travellers to South India. Most of Munnar’s higher reaches (7000’-8500') are forested and notified as reserve forests. The ecology here is of the grassland-shola type (high altitude mountainous forests).
